Anastasios J. Tasiopoulos is a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Cyprus. He completed both his BSc (1995) and PhD (1999) degrees at the University of Ioannina (Greece), the latter under the supervision of Professor Themistoklis A. Kabanos. After postdoctoral work with Professor George Christou at the University of Florida, he was appointed Lecturer at the University of Cyprus in 2004. His research is focused on the synthesis and study of functional metal – organic materials with interesting properties and potential applications in various areas such as magnetism, sensing, gas storage and separation, wastewater treatment, soil fertilization and catalysis.
Konstantinos N. Pantelis
Konstantinos N. Pantelis is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cyprus (Chemistry Department) with Prof. Tasiopoulos. He completed his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees at the Chemistry Department of University of Patras (Greece). His research interests are focused in the field of Coordination Chemistry and particularly on the synthesis and characterization of functional metal – organic compounds with interesting properties and potential applications in various areas such as magnetism, optics, gas storage and separation and wastewater treatment.
Eleni Hadjikyprianou

Panayiotis Symeou is a PhD student in the group of Professor Tasiopoulos at the University of Cyprus, Department of Chemistry. He completed his BSc in Chemistry with a minor in Physics. His research interests focus on the synthesis, characterization and study of metal – organic compounds with interesting properties and potential applications in various areas such as magnetism, wastewater treatment, soil fertization and catalysis.
